These sharp-tailed grouse dance at a 1,285-acre property that was purchased by Pheasants Forever and the Minnesota Sharp-tailed Grouse Society with the help of a grant recommended by Minnesota’s Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council. The Kanabec County parcel is now permanently protected habitat for wildlife and will be open to public hunting and outdoor recreation as a Minnesota state Wildlife Management Area.
